Following a series of compressive and highly successful wave tank trials at NaREC, Trident Energy plans to prove its technology with the deployment of an offshore demonstration rig at its own consented site off the East coast of England. The company intends to commission its platform in 2010 and monitor the performance of the energy conversion data over a 12 month period. During this period, the company will tune the technology for a wide variety of wave conditions.

The company intends to fully commercialise its technology, utilising a partnership based consortium model as its route to market. In the long term the company aims to market its technology worldwide and become a leading technology and services provider in the emerging marine renewable energy sector.
